Wanigan Eatery in Bay City

Always has been an excellent eatery. New decor is nice. Breakfast only on Saturday isn't the best, but it gives me a reason to get up! The staff has been there for years, and are awesome.

Staff is extremely friendly. Had a great visit and a great sandwich. The drinks were great too!!! Nice bar and atmosphere. Pricing was very reasonable.

Sorry. Was hoping for a good experience, but lady on the phone didn’t seem like she liked her job, got there and floor was dirty, cob webs everywhere, cook wasn’t wearing a mask and food wasn’t nothing great like I remembered, plus when we got home they forgot the chips and pickles for every order 🤷‍♂️7/11/20

Under new management, ordered sandwich with cream cheese that was spread so thin I could see through it. But over all good food. Been going there for 30 years

Just ate at Wanigan Eatery for lunch today for the first time. Had a number 2 (Reuben) that came with a pickle and chips. I also ordered a side of the broccoli salad. The food was amazing. I did learn a lesson tho if you're going to get it to-go make sure and call in and order ahead, especially if you have a short lunch because it was busy.

One of the best sandwich shops in Bay City. Large menu and large sandwiches.

Second time ordering from this place for work and the orders were wrong and missing food both times. For an order that costs over 200.00 that was ordered a day in advance I would expect them to make sure the order is correct before delivering. They also were over an hour late with the food. Both times we have had to call and it seems like they don't send the order out for delivery until you call about it being late. Never again will I order from here and I am sure the 30 other people I work with won't either.

Had the Reuben and it was amazing. We loved sitting on the patio overlooking park and river. Friendly place.

Great food worth waiting for, don't be in a hurry!

I got the pastrami on rye and it was mostly rye. All bread. Kind of expensive for a deli sandwich.

I purchased the Wanigan wheel and sat on the patio. The food was delicious, the English muffin bread was especially notable. I could have done with a bit less lettuce, but that’s a personal preference. Patio has a nice view of the river.

This is the perfect place to bring visitors from out of town.

This place is exceptional, the sandwich was delicious and fresh! The view of the Saginaw River off the screened in sun room is special! A quite relaxing lunch with a view! A Very Special Place for Lunch! The staff is very friendly also!

Great place with great food, my parents brought me here ever since i was a child.

First time there today for both me and my wife and definitely going to go there more. I think its better than subway and Jimmy John's and the customer is great. Food is phenomenal. Found my new favorite sandwich shop.

Been coming for 30 years or so and getting a #1 - Wannigan Wheel. Absolutely the best sandwich there is and it is about 8-10" around (I get 2-3 meals off it depending on how piggy I am feeling that day)! Hubby gets a #7 with smoked turkey and slaw and loves it.

Great place for a sandwich, very large selection to choose from, inside is a great atmosphere with awesome vintage relics from bay city. Recently they opened a new bar. And the table is a rough cut tree, just amazingly shows exactly what Bay city was all about, logging. I really recommend the eatery to you! Personally get the #17 with bacon. Enjoy friends.

Big sandwiches. Very worth the price. I would recommend stopping by in the late evening and having a beer as it's a nice environment.

Consistently tasty sandwiches and huge variety to choose from. Great chili too! Must have on my way up north.

Food tasted very good but it was not what I ordered. I asked if they could make a lettuce rap instead of a sub and I was told yes. My rap was half if head of iceberg lettuce flat in a paper plate with two slices of cheese and slices of meat laying on top. In my to go bad was a knife and fork. It it's a rap I order someone forgot to rap it and why would I need a knife and fork. Jimmy Johns does not give you a knife an fork with your sub or lettuce rap.

Good food friendly service

Wanigan has a great selection of dozens of different sandwiches. The staff are good, and we've never had any problem no matter how complicated the sandwiches were. It's very much a seat yourself kind of place, but they remember who ordered what and bring it out to you. There's also a full bar with a couple beers on tap and free popcorn. It's a good staple for lunch around the Riverwalk area.

I had forgotten how delicious the sandwiches here were! I used to stop here for lunch every so often when I lived in Bay City. I had the Delores Dagwood and my husband had the Grinder. Definitely yummy!

Ok this place has a million types of sandwiches! It's almost overwhelming when you walk in and see chalkboard menus literally all over the place LOL! But the food is yummy and they have a bunch of craft beers now. Glad their schedule changed a little too, I had a hard time finding good times to make it in before. Their veggies are fresh and the soup selection is typically pretty awesome, too.

I ordered the #23. It was love at first bite! It was mouth wateringly delicious!!

Connie's Perky Turkey was delicious. Smoked turkey, bacon, swiss, tomato, lettuce, Italian dressing, on a French petite. I must go again. I don't think I'll be able to ever try every sandwich though... Too bad. This sandwich shop has over 30 sandwiches too chose from and I only come to Bay City for a few days a year.

Decent sandwiches, a little dry for my tastes because of the thick bread. Fairly pricy ($10-12) for a sandwich and wavy potato chips.

If you can think of a deli sandwich, they probably sell it. Quite a variety!!!

Love the sandwiches. If your from bay city you know about this place. If you're not and want a sandwich give them a shot. You wont be disappointed. Great meats, home made bread. It isnt just a sub place. They are real sandwiches.

Very nice food and great service

I've had sandwiches from Wanigan twice when in town on business and they're fantastic. Their California Reuben-idh sandwich (#7) is glorious. Please support these folks and their awesome deli overlooking a park on the river. Every town should have a deli like this.
